WYKR is Bringing Back High School Basketball Coverage!

WYKR is thrilled to announce the return of live high school basketball broadcasts! After stepping away in early March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re excited to bring the action back to your airwaves. Starting in early December and running through the end of February, WYKR will cover over 20 games, featuring both girls’ and boys’ teams from Rivendell, Blue Mountain, Woodsville, and Oxbow.

We’ve put together a schedule packed with exciting matchups to keep fans connected to their favorite teams. While we’re committed to delivering every game as planned, please keep in mind that weather could impact scheduling, and we’ll provide updates as needed. If playoffs are in the cards for our local teams, you can count on us to follow the action into the postseason!

This season, WYKR’s broadcasts will include expert play-by-play and vibrant commentary from our talented team: Robin Wozney, Neil Emerson, and Ryan Farquharson. Whether you’re cheering from home, listening in the car, or tuning in on the go, they’ll bring you every pass, shot, and thrilling buzzer-beater.

As always, not only can you hear the games over the air on WYKR, but you can also listen through our website or on the WYKR app. Stay connected and never miss a moment of the action, no matter where you are!

High school basketball is more than just a game; it’s a tradition that brings our community together. We’re proud to highlight the hard work and dedication of our local athletes while providing a way for fans to stay connected.

Stay tuned for updates on our broadcast schedule, and get ready to support our schools as they take to the court. WYKR—bringing high school basketball back, one game at a time!
